Meet Anna Shope, M.D., Gynecology & Maternity Care Provider | UW Medicine

ANNA SHOPE: I think that, at UW Medicine, I can take care of women regardless of their background or economic status I can help anyone with whatever they need, in terms of their women's health care

And I also get to help train the next generation of OB/GYN physicians And that's something I'm really proud of I think that, historically, women's health care has been neglected And I think that women, more and more, are becoming– as they should– more important members and participants in society And their health care is of the utmost importance to me

And I wanted to focus on that I think the thing that is so rewarding and special about my job is, really, the individual interactions that I have with women– with human beings I think that there is something really special about the doctor-patient relationship and the connections that I can have to try to help their life in some way become better And that, I think, makes everything better in the world
