Meet Victoria Swarthout, C.N.M.,, Gynecology & Maternity Care Provider | UW Medicine

VICTORIA SWARTHOUT: Midwifery is meaningful because it helps me to connect to women as individuals, and all of my patients teach me an incredible amount So one of the strengths of midwifery is that health care providers and women can connect, kind of, as equals, and really learn from each other

Midwifery is technically challenging, and it's rooted in a culture of compassion, and it connects me to my community I get to connect to women, learn from them, and help them to make empowered decisions about their health care Honestly, I would be doing this work for free if money didn't exist
